If you bet long enough with a legitimate 54% edge, you will at some point lose seven in a row. This isn't a prediction. It's a mathematical certainty.

The question isn't whether it will happen. It's what you'll do when it does.

Expected Drawdowns

A 54% win rate over 200 picks will produce multiple 4-5 game losing streaks and at least one 6-7 game streak. That's just how probability works. The variance band around a 54% true rate is wide enough to produce stretches that feel catastrophic in real time but are completely normal in hindsight.

The bettors who survive are the ones who sized their bets correctly before the streak started and who don't change their process during it. The bettors who blow up are the ones who double down, chase losses, or abandon the system entirely.

What Sharp Picks Does During a Streak

Nothing different. The model doesn't know it's on a losing streak. It doesn't have a "get back to even" mode. It analyzes the next slate the same way it analyzed the last one: 56 features, four models, discipline filter, 3.5% threshold. Same inputs, same process, same outputs.

That's not a limitation. That's the entire point.

Your Job During a Streak

Don't increase your unit size. Don't add picks the model didn't generate. Don't skip picks the model did generate because you've "lost faith." The model hasn't changed. Only your feelings have.

If after 50+ picks the CLV is negative and the record is meaningfully below expectation, that's a signal worth examining. Seven losses in a row after 30 picks is not. Trust the math. That's what you signed up for.
