The sports betting internet is full of people selling picks. They'll tell you they're up 40 units this month. They'll show you a screenshot of a winning ticket. They'll charge you $99 for a "VIP package" that gives you access to their "lock of the day."
Sharp Picks is not that.
The Tout Problem
Touts survive by exploiting two things: selection bias and short memories. They post their winners publicly and their losers quietly. They reframe 52% seasons as dominant runs. And they know that most of their customers will churn within 60 days, replaced by new ones who only saw the highlight reel.
This business model requires opacity. If you showed the full record, the full methodology, and the full variance, most people would realize the tout has no edge. So touts never show you the full picture.
Radical Transparency
Sharp Picks shows you everything. Every game analyzed. Every edge detected. Every pick passed on. The discipline filter is visible. The quant reasoning is visible. The model's track record - wins and losses - is visible. The CLV is visible.
I don't cherry-pick winning nights for marketing. I don't hide losing streaks. The Results tab shows every pick the model has ever made, in order, with the outcome. If the model is performing, you'll see it. If it's not, you'll see that too.
This is what selling process looks like. You're not paying for a guy's gut feeling with a confidence score attached. You're paying for a system with a defined methodology, a visible track record, and a discipline framework that tells you when not to bet.
Why This Matters for You
The next time someone offers you a lock, ask them three questions: What's your methodology? What's your full-season record? What's your CLV? If they can't answer all three, they're not selling you an edge. They're selling you hope.
Hope doesn't have a positive expected value. Process does.
